My parents have very kindly offered to take me on a trip to Florida to hit up Disneyland and Universal Stuidos. We've been in the past and it's been amazing and I'd love to go again, but feel like it would be a waste if I couldn't go on any of the rides or swim. Has anyone had experience with rollercoasters and wigs? Or is this the kind of situation where I have the brave the bald?

I don't ride roller coasters (I'm a big wimp!) but maybe a headband wig would do the trick. Or maybe use a scarf or bandana to tie over a wig. For swimming the same idea but with hair attached to swim cap, or possibly just a swim cap. Good luck and I hope you go and don't miss out!

Lol I use to think maybe one of those winter hats with the plates on the side would be good . That way you could tie a knot under your chin to stop it flying off or one of those hunters hats lol do you know the ones I'm talking about .....
I use to have a Freedom suction wig that was made in New Zealand I went to dream world in Australia and went on the tower of terror ( as well as all the other roller coasters ) as nearly had a nervous brake down going on the ride . Was not a very good feeling at all, every time I finished the ride I was in absolute tears in worry I felt like I was going to lose my wig ,it just didn't feel secure enough . Yes the hair piece did hold up but I did have to put my hands in top of my head as it felt like it was going to go flying into oblivion and My thoughts it would never be found again . I use to be ....ll.Hmmmm pretty happy with my freedom wig for security but that was before I had tried the Gripper sport from from Follea ( I bought mine from Andrew Wilson from Transitions Hair Australia and they do disturbed out side of Australia to other countries) out of all the wigs /medical prosthetics I have had spending multi-thousands of dollars on hair this one I can recommend 100% I would never try anything different . It is a little expensive but it was total worth it it gave me my life back :-) and I never go back to anything different xx Soph

Hi Deanna,

You can feel very confident of going on the roller coasters in Disneyland, many of my clients have and they loved it!  I am not sure what kind of wig or hair replacement you are using, but whether it be a Gripper wig or tapes and glue you should be fine.  Many of my clients engage in water sports and sport in general and roller coasters are no different (a friend of mine in the Transitions group took a TV crew down to the theme park and filmed him with his added hair on to show how secure it is).

If you have a gripper wig, you don't need any additional help, they are very secure.  If you are using tapes and adhesive, my advice would be to use the red liner tape onto the base (if a PU base/tape tab) and then place the blue lace tape on top of that so it connects to your skin.  This is a very secure combination.  Add a little adhesive for extra security if you wish.

I hope that helps!  Go and have yourself a great time!  Enjoy.

My parents have given me enough to take me on a trip to Florida to hit Disneyland and Universal Stuidos. Further help do try superiorpapers.com review. We had it before, and it was wonderful and I wanted to go again, but it would have been a waste if I hadn't been able to ride or swim or swim.

Brave the bald, dear. You will still look gorgeous. Be brave. e bold.
