Hey Guys,

I noticed my hair was starting to thin in 2012 so I took a look at my hair care history and regiment. I wore extension braids in my 20's and 30's but stopped when my edges became thin. I wore weaves off and on until 2012 when my hair started thinning and then wore them all of the time. My doctor found nothing in my blood work and I'm a very healthy person. Over the next 4 years it slowly worsened. After conducting some research, I deduced that it could be a sign of aging because the same thing happened in my pubic area, sorry if that's too much info, but I did go to a dermatologist. I was diagnosed with Scarring Alopecia in 2016.

Doctors aren't sure what caused this but it is believed that it may be caused by some rare disorder that attacks the hair follicle and then replaces it with permanent scar tissue.
