Hi,

I have an issue with having seborrhoeic dermatitis and alopecia areata. The seborrhoeic dermatitis came about two months after my hair started falling out. I am using ciclopirox olamine (prescribed by my doctor) for the dermatitis, but the flakes come back after a day of not using the shampoo. I noticed my hair growing back in the bald spot a while ago, but then the flaking from the dermatitis got really bad and when I would peel the flakes I noticed a lot of little hairs coming off as well (ugh). I had a lot of hair growing back too, but they've all fallen out since and none have grown back :( Does anybody have any solutions for this? It's extremely frustrating!

This older thread might give you some ideas how to treat the seborrhoeic dermatitis:

Also, you could try taking the turmeric golden paste mentioned in the following thread. I'm going to try it to treat both my seborrhoeic dermatitis & alopecia:

Thank you for the links! I will look into the tumeric paste. What other methods have you tried on your seborrhoeic dermatitis?

You're welcome. Only oral itraconazole or oral prednisolone have helped. See the seborrhoeic dermatitis thread for more detail.
