Shampoo and conditioners for Synthetic wigs and other care questions

Hi, everyone.

Synthetic wig users - What do you use to wash them?

I am talking about expensive monotop wigs which you wear daily, not occasional wear.

I have AU and have been wearing synthetic wigs, by Renee of Paris (amore, Noriko etc)

Obviously due to the skin secreting lots of oil, the caps wear out. Also  the fiber becomes a little coarse.

They say that a conditioner helps for coarse fiber.

Also someone told me to use All detergent and a little baking soda to take out the oiliness. Anyone had success with that?

How often do you wash your wigs with daily wear?

Will appreciate your input.

One thing - there is a brand called Brandywine - I know about it and I can't stand their smell, so that one is out.

Many thanks!

I don't know about synthetic wigs, my wigs are human hair, but I use regular shampoo and conditioner to maintain them.  There is wig shampoo but I haven't tried it.  I'm careful when I wash them and dry them.  I wouldn't wash my wigs more than once a week or every couple of weeks.  It depends also if you sleep in them and workout in them as well.
