I've just been diagnosed with FFA. Currently discussing treatment options to stop further loss of hair with my GP. A question: can anyone tell me if there's a particular type of shampoo one should use? I live in Australia. Many thanks.

This is an older post but the texture of my hair has really changed with all of this. It feels like straw after I wash it. Someone called it like "spun candy cane". And my scalp doesn't really itch but it feels so sensitive all the time like I can literally feel each hair when it moves. It's not just at the hairline but all over. It's driving me crazy! With my sensitive scalp I have no idea how I could ever wear a wig. . .

I know people have mentioned products they like but I have discovered Bumble and Bumble thickening dry spun finish to thicken up those VERY thin areas in the front and I really like it. I use Toppix hair building fibers everyday to hide my widening shiny part and Billion Dollar Brows is a great fill in brow powder that works pretty well for filling in those bald spots in front of my ears.

But I really need to find a good shampoo and conditioner. Love to hear your thoughts!
