Shedding with cold weather
My toddler has gone 3 years with no hair loss. In late May she was given a Hep A and Polio vaccination. This resulted in 2 moderate sized patches and overall shedding until late fall. All of her patches have since regrown. We have had extremely cold weather the last 2 weeks in Michigan (as low as -12). 3 days ago I noticed she is shedding again. She also had an ear infection and prolonged viral respiratory infection in late December as well. Anyone have experience with worsening hair loss in cold weather or after viral illness?

Hello Stephanie I truely believe vaccines causes my daughter hair loss ! She always had gorgeous wavey head full of hair and at 9 months she got vaccines they gave her a lot at once! Like 4 or 5! Which I let saying I wanted to wait but they said it's fine she already wasn't feeling good well
about one-2 week later I noticed her first spot it came aggressive ! Now at 2 she is bald and luckily it is growing back but I Know it was the vaccines no doubt in my mind it is to strange that it happened right after !

Hello!!!! Yes! Our hair loss started at 9 months too! Then when she got her one year vaccines it was rapid! Lost 40% of her hair after the one year vaccinations. We are so lucky that all grew back and I didn't give her immunizations for a long time. Now I'm feeling quite guilty for doing so.
