I'm new here but not new to alopeicia.  I've had Alopecia Universalis now for almost 8 years.  I'm trying to address something that has bothered me now for some time - not having a comfortable sleep hat that actually stays on all night!  I'm handy with a sewing machine and have some ideas/designs that I'm working on and will report asap when I have something positive to offer.  In the meantime I'm wondering if anyone else out here has related experiences and/or ideas to share?

Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas, but I can definitely sympathize -- I have the same problem.  I've tried several sleep hats/turbans and have yet to find one that I really like.  I always have the same problems: My ears are more sensitive to cold than the rest of my head, but I can't find a cap that covers them without going too low on my forehead.

I was watching the movie Florence Foster Jenkins over the weekend -- the main character suffers from alopecia and wears a pretty awesome turban to bed.  It looked comfy, but then again, Hugh Grant tenderly put it on her, so that might have helped, haha. ;)

Thanks Stacie.  Yes I know the ear problem well and am working on it.... I'll let you know how I go.  As you say Hugh Grant's touch would make almost any turban comfortable hehe.

The only ones I like are the beanies with lace, she has an Etsy and Ebay shop

Thank you Gon.  The lace beanies do look very nice.  I'll have to try them too.

You're welcome :)
I just piled a soft sweater around the top of my head last winter, and slept warmly.

Nice.  But how did you get it to stay on?

I sleep in these and just love them. They wash very well. They are very soft and comfortable. not too hot.
