So I went ahead and bit the bullet, and got a full lace, human hair unit. I had gone back to wearing lace front synthetic wigs after I couldn't afford my regular custom made unit. I try and keep up with the synthetic one, but you can only iron them so many times before they look ratty again. What I'm finding is that the nape area is lifting and won't stay down. The front (so far) is staying secure. With the synthetic lace front, the tape held fine, but I'm having trouble with the softer lace. I realized that the thirty - forty dollars I was spending here and there actually added up to a full lace wig on sale. So if I could just get the nape to stay down...
