Hello,

I am brand new to this site and I am really hoping someone out there can help me. My derm put me on 100mg of sprionolactone. She started me at 50mg for the first two weeks. I just upped my dose to 100mg 3 days ago. I have androgenetic alopecia and was prescribed the drug to stop any further hair loss. However, I am now shedding hair more than I have ever seen before! I have just enough hair left on my head to not see excessive scalp. If I keep shedding I won't be able to hide my scalp. I am FREAKING out. How can I be prescribed something to keep my hair yet it is causing me to lose more hair?! Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do? Should I stop taking it? Please help me!
