Hey anyone!! I'm wondering if anyone has used squaric acid, and I just don't want to pay for another derm appointment($140 a visit ugh) just to ask if it may be working for me. I went in for the first sensitization where she rubbed just a little spot on my head. Then I ordered the acid online like she said to do. Then I thought she said put it all over head once a week with q-tip, then every 6 days, then every 5 days, then every 4 days etc until I'm applying it every day or until my head is irritated too much. So I googled this just to make sure this is okay, and all I can find is that humans should use it only once a week, not every day. AND I read on google that I should be showing the allergic reaction by now(itching, redness, swollen etc) I haven't experienced any of these symptoms yet. Strange. Maybe it is not working for me, like I am not allergic to this stuff or my skin is too thick? I don't know.... Anyone have any thoughts for me??????????

I really appreciate it!!
thx, kim

Where did you get the information to use something like that?

The information you found sounds strange. My daughter has had complete regrowth and we did not apply the meds that way. Please contact me if I can help. Cindy

ooo really? Can you tell me how your daughter applied the acid? and how often? I'd love to hear how a successful regrowth applied it(Samantha). And once it grew back, then did you just leave it alone? or keep rubbing on scalp? Thank you sooooo much Cindy for responding!! ;) Kimberly

Kim, there are a couple of different squaric acid treatments. I am wondering if you are doing DCP? We applied a small amount with a q-tip once a week to start and worked up to 3 days a week. Her started growing back 6 months from the start of the process. Now, 3 yrs later she has all her hair, gets a few spots from time to time, bu we still apply it once a week. Her brows evern grew in, but the eyelashes dont stay. You should see if there is a local compound pharmacy you can get the meds from too.
