Starting my Journey on Tofacitinib

Hello everyone. I have started to take Tofacitinib a Couple of days days ago now. I am taking Tofacitinib 11mg every night before I sleep. I got this without any prescriptions. Should I get some checkups done in between? How long before I can start seeing any changes with this? I have had Alopecia Areata throughout my scalp for the last 15-16 years. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
