Hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone else out there has had luck with lots of sunlight and topical steroids. I worked outside for a few summers while I was in college and all my hair came back by the end of August. Then, the Minnesota winter would roll around and it would all fall out again by March. Anyone else experience something similar to this? Anyone had any luck with any sort of light treatment and topical steroids (like clobetasol propianoate?). Thanks a lot,

J.

some people have had luck with this- for a while anyway. I tried both clobetasol and uva therapy and it had no effect on me. Best results are with DCHP but I didnt do it due to my concern that it would make wearing a wig hard. Also have heard results with sulfasalize and methothrex (Sp) Reacted to sulfa and didnt do the other due to still having babies. I tried every alternate therapy out there I think! Plus steriods etc.

I've been AU for 3 years now. My recommendation is to get eyeliner and eyebrow tatoos, learn to put on false eyelashes (if female) and get a freedom hair piece and hope someday for a cure. I think its probably more disruptive to grow back a little hair and be on constant guard of it falling out again. The falling out panic is the worst. Worse than having none.
