im extrememly lucky to have an amazing and supportive boyfriend.

of course, this is soo hard on him and it adds on a lot of stressto him, but he has been here for me since i got alopecia a few months ago.

he actually came with me today and wached me get my head shaved.

i know its hard for a lot of you to find love with this, but i promise theres people out there who love you for who you are and will always support you. i'm very thankful i have him because he's the one i can go and cry to about this.

I totally agree! People who love you will always love you with or without your hair! My bf is really supportive too, he shaved my head for me! and he loves me all the same and i think he's simply wonderful too. He's always telling me how he thinks I'm beautiful even without hair and he really doesn't care! I realized early on that the one who cared about how I looked was ME!
Don't forget to also share the smiles of life with him...
I am not all that worried about finding someone not because im over confident but because i believe there is someone for everyone. And i have had the pleasure to talk to some guys and learn that they dont care so much about hair, yes it throws them off when they learn that a woman is bald but overall if they like her they will stay. Either way i have to learn how to love me with or without a man in my life. Congrats on finding a good one :O)
I agree. I was very very worried when I started losing my hair. I started dating a guy, who I love very much, but I was so paranoid his feelings were not genuine, and for other reasons, I broke up with him. However, he and I remain friends, both with plans to get back together when Gods timing is right, notice my relationship status does not say single. :) Recently I just shaved my head, and he was there with me. He took me out to eat afterward, I had nothing on my head, and he told me I was beautiful. He makes his intentions known that when the time is right he will pursue a relationship with me. In the meantime he is my best friend, and the most supportive person in my life when it comes to my struggle with alopecia. He told me that when the time finally comes for me to walk down the isle toward him he does not care what is on my head, he loves me for who I am. If anything alopecia brought us closer together because I can really see how Rhyan feels about me. I went from thinking he might love me to knowing. I could never have dreamed of someone loving me as much as he does, he is an answer to prayer. I pray now that others with this condition can find someone who loves them as genuinely as Rhyan loves me.
