I have AU and have been wearing Renee of Paris monotop wigs. Recently, i went to a different salon and saw a hand-tied one. It looked and felt OK, but I am only used to ROP, so don't know what to expect.
Anyone can advise about the hand-tied ones? How do they hold the shape, are they hot in summer? Do you need to take them to a service often?
I would appreciate any feedback, especially if you have tried both types and can compare.
Thank you!

Hand tied synthetic hair? Not much difference from wefted to me. They will ALL be hot in summer, just no getting around that I don't think. I live in FL so I know HOT. They are more expensive, and I really wouldn't pay the extra $$ unless the wig is made that way and you like the style, color, etc. But to search for hand tied and think they will be different by much, they won't be. I have one by Margu and got it..it was expensive..$260 ..I just liked it for the color...truth be known, have barely worn it...sad. You (or I) get caught up in the moment sometimes at a wig shop...trying on wigs, and seeing yourself with lots of hair for once, and you see yourself in the shop differently than when you get home..or at least for me...but sadly, once you buy, it is yours. If you are fairly happy with wefted mono tops...no need to pay extra $$ for hand tied. Just my view.
