I went to an appointment today and had 8 yes eight vials of blood drawn for analysis. Doctor is skilled in Integrative Medicine and believes gut problems are the cause of many autoimmune disorders. I have another appointment in two weeks to discuss lab results and possible treatment plan.

I am not giving up on Xeljanz but I believe finding cause is long term solution.

Leaky gut is getting lots of attention lately..

Unfortunately xeljanz did not work for me.

How long were you on Xeljanz?

7 months... the doctor suggested to stop medications because of poor results.

Last 2 months I was on 15mg a day. I was almost au.

I had maybe 15% more on my head, 70% body hair, and 90% of my nails stopped pitting.

I stopped because body hair is not really important for me. I was paying all of it out of pocket.

I didnt experienced good growth for Hair and facial hair.

It sucks to try and be a non responder. After 2 months that I stopped I can see my nails start pitting again...

Keep us posted! I'm on xeljanz, have been for 16 months now, and went to a ND. She did blood work as well and a stool sample (really awkward) and put me on a high dose of probiotics and vitamins. She also ran a food allergy panel through Bio Tek and I'm going to start avoiding the foods that came up as allergiens. I'll start after Yhanskgiving.
I've got about 85% growth on my head, I was AU, but lashes and brows still mostly gone.
I bit the bullet and ordered some oils online from a guy in India. I know it sounds like I'm a sucker but I won't stop until I've tried EVERYTHING!

I've been using the oils too! Who knows if it works, but it's soothing on my scalp if nothing else. I've been avoiding gluten for some time now, and I feel like it's reducing hair fall.... a doctor suggested I reduce sugar.... but that's a lot harder than I thought. I havent heard of the xeljanz... I only have gotten injections in my scalp. Is this an oral medication, or is it topical?

Oral but they made also topical. Oral xeljanz is having success for a lot of patients.
Google it, you will find plenty of info.
What did the Dr test in your bloodwork in order to say it might be a gut problem.

Not sure on what test for that. Also said thyroid had a problem so on something for that. It was a very comprehensive test which covered just about everything including whether I have the Alzheimer genetics which I don't.

Time will tell whether the supplements and medication change things.

About 3 years ago I took the same approach and went to a Integrative Medicine doctor. I spent Thousands of dollars $5-$7K on test and test and more test. Food allergy test, blood test, adrenal fatigue test, heavy metal test and more. In the end I was out allot of money, he sold me all his supplements, and NEVER Followed up with me.

Hopefully your doctor does not have the same ethics as the one I went to. I believe the AIP diet is most of our best bets when taking a natural approach, but XELJANZ does work!

Good luck, and keep us all posted :)
