So here was are at the end of 2014 and we continue to suffer from hairloss without anyone looking at what has been happening in our environment.  My degree in human nutrition and continued study has led me to possible answer.  Iodine deficiency causing dis-functioning thyroid glands due to environmental Halogens.  Fluoride in the water, crops and medications, Bromine in baked goods, flour, etc.,Chlorine in the water, perchlorate from Jet fuel raining down on us... http://www.iodine-resource.com/halogens.html  Now with the radiation fallout from Fukushima, our iodine status is even more critical. I love my wigs and they help me feel normal, but why did this happen to me?
Finally I have the answer as I look at my body and see the cherry angioma

Yes, Fluoride is a toxin, it has not business in our water!  This was done to allow industry to continue to poison our land, animals and people and not get sued.  Check out http://fluoridealert.org/ and read  the Fluoride Deception.  God Bless

right more conspiracy theories. If iodine excess caused alopecia, all you would need to do is run a thyroid function test

Thyroid tests are grossly inaccurate, we can not measure where the T3 is active, which is in the cell.

Thyroid deficiency can best be evaluated and monitored though symptoms.  Here is a good book for you to check out:  I heard the author speak, he's incredible.

Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms? when My Lab Tests Are Normal: a Revolutionary Breakthrough in Understanding Hashimoto's Disease and Hypothyroidism

by Dr. Datis Kharrazian
And NO it's Iodine deficiency which is the problem, without iodine, your thyroid gland does not function..
Thanks for writing.

Maggie,
Not sure about the iodine but I do agree the levels of toxic substances that have made their way into our food supply during production has had a massive effect and that the mass populations have so limited knowledge of the effects to the human systems. You only have to look at how many new diseases there are now compared to a quarter of a century ago and even earlier.
Would love to hear more about your research.

Hi Rob,

You would enjoy reading Iodine: Why You Need It, Why You Can't Live Without It by Brownstein.  He explains bromine toxicity and the roll of iodine in detoxing,  I have read several others on Hypothyroidism and attended conferences on the subject. My profession is medical dietetics and nutrition,  Iodine is a much over looked nutrient in medicine today.

In the book by Broda Barnes about Hypothyroidism he relates many diseases directly with Thyroid deficiency, infertility, heart disease, diabetes, on and on. You called that! It was published in 1976, their are many new books on the subject, but his is very well researched and applicable to what you're seeing today. Fukushima has put a whole new light on things in my humble opinion.

Maggie

Hello ,

So if the source of alopecia is the iodine deficiency, you would suggest to take more iodine or what is your solution ?

By the way , it might me a little bit crazy but i checked when the fukushima event happened , and it occured 1 month before my hairs fell off lol it might be the hazard but anyway i'm interested about your theory.

Ha!  I know Fukushima is just making it worse.. It is estimated that 95% of the US is deficient in iodine.

Multiple factors are at play.  Pollution, the percolate from jet fuel, chlorine and the neurotoxin, fluoride in our water supply and bromine in our bread all prevent iodine from being used in our bodies by replacing it. Our diets are severaly deficient unless you eat seaweed regularly like the Japanese? But now they have to deal with their food being radioactive.

I definitely think it's worth addressing.Check out Lugol's solution or other iodine supplements and take the dose recommended by this website or follow the recommendations for detoxing in David Brownsteins book I referenced in my original post.

Can an admin seriously delete this conspiracy trash? That is total bullshit. Very few people are defiecient in iodine

People should not be allowed to spread false information around..

Please look up my sources, do your own research then and make your own decision.
