Hi everyone! My name is Sarah. I was diagnosed with Alopecia two years ago. I had to shave my hair and wear wig because of that. It was really hard for me to do that but I had no other choices. It's still very hard for me to tell people that I have Alopecia and the hardest part for me is in dating. It's hard for me to the guy I have wig on my head. Sometimes I get nervous in windy weather because my wig moves. Do you have the same problem or it's just me? My friend has invited me to go swimming with her but because of my wig I couldn't. I heard Freedom wigs are comfortable and natural looking, but I don't know, maybe I am very picky when it comes to wigs. Do you guys have the same problems?

I would love to see that blonde hair that I just read on your page. I also have blonde hair, and I can't imagine bonding hair to my head and still having my thin fragile bio hair. How would one comb the hair? My hair is way too fine and fragile. Bonded hair would be a totally different texture. It also most cost a small fortune, something I cannot afford.
"My friend has invited me to go swimming with her but because of my wig I couldn't" I wear synthetic wigs - if I'm just playing in the water, I May wear wig, I may put a scarf over the wig, I may just go without and wear a scarf and/or hat. When I do a swimming workout and spend an hour doing lengths - I'm wearing a bathing cap like all other swimmers. I put on my wig just before leaving change room. To give perspective - I swim lengths at a pool where another swimmer leans his leg against a chair while he does laps - he is without a leg - he takes off his artificial leg and puts it on a chair near the pool. Then he gets into a wheel chair and gets himself somehow from chair to pool . I glance at that leg when I'm doing my laps and reminds me not to get too upset by alopecia. I mean we all have bigger problems than hair loss but still - it's a good reminder. I can't afford a Freedom wig so it's just not an option. I don't believe all people without a Freedom wig are somehow inhibited - I have a very active life and really - whether I still have my ponytail or not - not a big deal anymore. As I age, I see so many other issues are cropping up with my loved ones or myself - hair is just one issue not the end of one's life if hair is lost.
