My daughter is 14 and she has had alopecia since 6. It was always just a patch here and there, but now at 14, she has lost everything. Her eyelashes and eyebrows are going as well. She is having a hard time coping and worried about going back to school. She is finally ready to talk with someone her age that has AA. Any teens that can connect with my daughter please reply.

Hi

I am not a teen but I have been where you are now. My daughter lost her hair when she was 12, she is now 22 and we are still dealing with alopecia.

I just wanted to pop in and say hi and let you know you aren't alone. You will find your way through this with your daughter and she will be all she wants to be with or without hair. I fully understand the trauma this causes to your life and hers. But keep doing what your doing. Reaching out and finding answers that can help her.

If I can be of any help just pop in and say hi. I will friend you as I have my page set on private.

Hugs to you both.

Rosy

Thank you for such encouraging words. I'm not always on the site so sorry for the delay. I love your daughter's wigs. They look very natural. My daughter started high school this week with a new wig which she loves! It has made the transition smoothe.
