hi i'm grace, i'm almost 15 and after having alopecia for a couple of years and wearing a more permanant type of wig, my hair is finally growing back. it's at least a couple of inches long at this moment and i feel like it's growing very fast(maybe it's just me) but now i've gone to a less permanent wig, and just have been wearing it in public. i'm very comfortable not wearing it at home and i really like not having to worry about a wig. i want to start just going with my real hair, but i'm just really nervous about how everyone will react. my friends have known i wear a wig but i've never really gone into detail about why.. and then theres the people i know that are probably oblivious to my situation and strangers and i'm just nervous how they'll all take it in. i'm not at all ashamed of how my short hair looks just more the reactions and questions i'll get. how do explain this kind of thing to people? i know not all of my reactions will be the best but i'm pretty tough and think i can take it. i'm also starting highschool this fall so then theres that too. if anyone has been through this situation or just have advice i would really appreciate it.
