Hi Everyone, I am new to this site in hopes to finding some answers from people who have this condition versus the medical doctors who don't always believe natural remedies versus medication over the counter.
If you can cut and paste these questions and give your answers it will be highly appreciated and hopefully helpful in answering or eliminating some of my theories. My answers will follow...
1)Do you or your family member have Alopecia Areata or Alopecia Universalis?
2)Where you or your family member under ultra violate lights when you where born.
3)Have you tried any natural remedies and where did you find out about it?
4)Did the natural remedy help hair growth?
5)Have you heard about any other treatments then cortisone cream or injections?
6)As a child how where you treated? Or if it's your child who has it, how are they treated?
7)What's your response to people who ask you about it?

1)Do you or your family member have Alopecia Areata or Alopecia Universalis?
My Son has Alopecia Areata, he is 3 years old now and he's been diagnosed when he was about 18 months old.
2)Where you or your family member under ultra violate lights when you where born.
He was under ultra violate lights for 3 days after birth, I even had to nurse him under the lights.
3)Have you tried any natural remedies and where did you find out about it?
Not yet.
4)Did the natural remedy help hair growth?
5)Have you heard about any other treatments then cortisone cream or injections?
No.
6)As a child how where you treated? Or if it's your child who has it, how are they treated?
He does not notice anything at this moment. Family members don't bring the topic in front of him and for his age group they do not notice it as something different. I am worried how kids will treat him once he goes to school. I shaved his head once and the patches showed and a lady in the mall goes why would you cut his hair like that. I was shocked how blunt she was I held my breath and said he has a condition and walked away. I was so furious of how rude she came out with her question. Where's the sympathetic way of asking>?
7)What's your response to people who ask you about it?
I try to explain that it's the immune system that is confused and hits the hair cells. I get the confused look but that's what it is ;o)
