Well I think I've tried almost every available treatment, some have helped a little, some have worsened my alopecia and none have cured it. Which option does everyone think is best? natural or medicinal remedies? and which are the worst for side effects? Come to think of it, i'm most interested in natural remedies and I'd really like a few reccomendations please (have tried gluten free diet, acupuncture, chinese herbs, ayurveda, onion juice) are there any others that have proved effective? I really don't want to give in to this, I just can't accept that this is me for life. Any replies are much appreciated.

Wish we were born in a time when they have had some sort of cure or vaccination. Anyways, may be try eating Aloe Vera capsules and some gel, heard its effective. I have seen people who recovered on their own, without any sort of remedies. We all are different.
When I got AA, I try at first with alopatic medicine for 7 months (steroid injections -Kenalog, Protopic, Clobex, Cordran lotion). I was in a way buying time, until I find something natural, and at a same time I was hoping that this will go away, and that everything will get back to normal.
But unfortunately, after 7 months the situation get worst, and my dermatologist give up on me in a way, and suggest that I visit another dermatologist . Two other options left for me then, was oral immunosuppressant or topical sensitivity treatment. I didn't want to go there... I didn't want to develop more serious disease then AA.
So after that I didn't have the other choice but to look for something natural and safe.
I find this dr. from India who cured so many people around the world with Ayurveda oils. I talk with him, I talk with people who successfully CURED AA, and then I order oils and start my treatment.

First 3 months I didn't notice any change, but after that my hair start to grow very fast. The patches start to filling in whole area (with steroid injections, the hair will grow only on the spot I took the shout, and spreading all around) When I wash my hair, I notice that is not falling that much...etc
I can say now that my condition is way much better then it was before this treatment. I have patches open up now and then.. but they all filling with hair. Also I am only 6 months on this therapy, I need to apply this oils for 1.5 more year.

So...regarding my experience I can tell you that I strongly believe in natural remedy and in ancient Eastern medicine.
If I didn't start with this oils, I will probably wearing a wig right now.
Suzi can you provide me with some more information about this dr. And a few links.

Thanks
Chris
