Wearing a wig in hot humid climate on a daily basis

It is approaching the time when I probably will have to wear a wig all day, every day. It is soooo hot and humid here in FL. Does anyone live in a very hot humid climate and have to wear a wig every day? Is there any such thing as a somewhat cooler wig? I am searching again for a wig that is ME. All the ones in boxes in my closet, well, they may have looked nice when I bought them, or I thought they did, but now, I don't even know who I am supposed to look like. I just wish I could look like my old self again, and have my hair back, even though it was never "good" hair anyway. It was hair, and it was mine!! Blonde colors for wigs are practically non-existent. They all are the wrong color. Ashey, drab, grey looking blondes. Yuck. They are all parted on the wrong side for me. They all have tooo much hair for my small face and features. What to do? I have limited amount of money to spend. I am so afraid to try another online purchase, and get stuck with something I cannot return, and don't wish to wear. Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated. Oh, and there is the how to tell my co-workers, "hey, tomorrow I will be coming to work wearing a wig" and the looks, side-eye glances, whispers behind my back.

Yes, wearing a Wig can be enough of a challenge, but then to add on the heat makes it worse:) I think the best bet for you would be to go with something custom made for you, This way you can get the lightest and most breathable wig cap style, the thickness of hair want, and you can get the exact blonde and parting that you want. I am not a big advocate for spending tons of money on a wig but once you purchase the right one one you'll have it for a while. I have worn wigs and hair pieces all my adult life, and for me nothing has compared to a custom unit. I hope this helps.

Hi !

This channel on Youtube ( Dittoschi) has a lot of wig videos. Her videos helped me pick out more realisitic looking wigs. She shows wigs that run 35 dollars to 500. One is the Rene of Paris Tori, 2nd is by Revlon Scorpio and the latest is made by Gabor called the Premium wig. Thought I would let everyone know.

Hi,I live in Boynton Beach FL,& wear wigs 24/7 for almost a year now,even to sleep & swim.
I particularly love synthetic FLAX/FLAXEN/CHINESE SILK HAIR in summer as they are vety cool,
I love flexible soft mesh cap wigs that I can barrette/clip into a nice long ponytail.
