When you are 18, supposed to be an exciting and fun time in my life, but 24/7 deal with AA!!!!  Been on this roller coaster for 2 + years.....

Then, how do you answer when someone questions whether you are wearing a wig?  Of course, it is no one's business, but people are cruel and don't care, as we all know.

It has happened a few times, and I don't know how to answer that such personal question.  No one knows, except my family and I want it to stay that way.  Anyone have any ideas please?

Sam i hope you know by all the replies you are not alone in this. Please be encouraged. I know you know that Jesus our Lord and Saviour is available 24/7 awaiting you in prayer to comfort you. He is your God, guard, and guide who will lead you into all truth. No matter what is going on in our lives, we are in God's hands and He encourages us to bring to Him our heavy burdens and leave them there. I know we will all keep you in our prayers for God to shower you continually with His love and comfort. God bless you, dear one.

Thanks so much.

Hello.

I think... what do you feel when is asked? You can response simply what you feel to response.

You can also not response...

Hi Sam.     It is tempting to buy a wig online price wise.  I found that it’s best to go to a wig shop and ask an experienced owner “what wig would you suggest?”.  The one I currently wear is a synthetic, rooted color.  I thought people would know but recently told another woman and she was shocked.  I paid $185 and will buy a new one every year or two.  I do recommend wearing a wig cap under it which I didn't do in the beginning.  When people compliment me on my hair, I tell them it’s a wig.  Although I’ve had alopecia since college, the AU threw me for a loop.  However, I’m also a 5 year cancer survivor so I’m thankful for each day.  Buy some cute “headcovers” to wear when you don’t want to wear the wig.
