Hello all, I am new to this site and trying to learn all I can. I am 32 and 4 months ago started losing my hair. It started up front and I have at least 4 bald spots in the back that look like really wide parts in sections of my hair, so my guess is that they're developing into bald spots. After washing my hair this morning I discovered a bald spot on top of my head. Last week I chopped off all of my long hair to a pixie cut to try and hide the thinning on top and bald spots on front. I'm starting to feel as though it was in vain. I know this question is dependent on the person who answers, but at what point did you cover your hair and/or shave it? I have no emotional attachment to my hair and I started wearing a cover on my head in public. I'd love to hear what you have to say since I'm so new and have no one in the local area to talk to about it.

Thanks guys, I hope you're having a good day!

Wise1 has answered as I would have. This is absolutely up to you. In my daughter's case it was a very empowering choice. Be prepared though. If you want to wear no hair (have your ducks in row as to what you are going to say to people). If you prefer a headcovering or scarf...same thing get your blurb ready. If you prefer a wig then you get a little more time to work out what to say and when you want to share it, but make sure your new hair works well for you as you don't want that becoming even more of an issue.

Good luck with your choice.
