I have purchaced several synthetic wigs, and they all are too shiny. I love the low maintance of them, but the shine is a huge give a way of a wig. Any input would be greatly appreciated and the best brands to purchase.

I agree that the color blends look more natural. I like the Amore line best. I personally think that the brunette colors looked more realistic than the blonde colors in any wig. I guess natural brown hair does shine a bit more than blonde, so brunette wigs can pass off the shine a bit better.
One of those two-tones, with front color wisping over back in a stylish cut, can take some of the emphasis off shine and onto style. I got SOOOO many compliments with a frosted look two years ago...I am considering going back to it on my next purchase. (This doesn't show on my profile anymore. It was light blond over medium blond.)
If you have a shiny wig, you can use some baby powder or face powder to cut the shine.
