Does anyone have information about a wig that can be used for swimming for a 13 year old girl? She wants to swim this summer but wants a wig and I haven't heard of one that can be used for that. Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks,

Hi Jack Morlan,

It's wonderful to hear that the 13-year-old girl you know wants to swim this summer and is interested in finding a wig that can be used for swimming. While wigs primarily designed for swimming are not as common as regular wigs, Certainly! When it comes to finding a wig that can be used for swimming, it's important to consider certain factors. Here's some information to help you in your search

  1. Material: Look for wigs made from synthetic fibers or human hair that are specifically designed to be water-friendly. These materials are often more resistant to damage from chlorine, saltwater, and UV rays.

  2. Construction: Opt for wigs that have a secure and adjustable fit. Wig caps with adjustable straps or silicone grips can help keep the wig in place while swimming.

  3. Waterproof Adhesives: If the girl prefers using adhesives to secure the wig, consider using waterproof adhesives or tapes specifically formulated for extended water exposure.

  4. Wig Care: After swimming, it's essential to rinse the wig thoroughly with clean water to remove any chlorine or saltwater residue. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for washing and drying the wig to maintain its quality and lifespan.

While it's always best to consult with a wig specialist or a reputable wig retailer for specific recommendations, you can find more detailed information and tips in the post "Wigs You Can Swim In: 10 Tips & Recommendations" on wepickbestforyou.com.
