Hi everybody!

I'm thinking of buying a wig online. I was wondering whether anybody on here has purchased a lace front wig before? How did they manage with the lace in the front - what if the colour doesn't suit your own skin colour? (I'm Chinese).

Thanks :-)

Thanks so much for the information Jennifer! Unfortunately I am away on vacation until February 15th :( Do you know when the next time would be that you are in Toronto? I would really like to get information regarding cost and the average life span of the wig? Do people tend to order a new one every few years or so? Also, do you need to re-do consultations when ordering another wig in the future or is all of your information kept on file for re-ordering? Thanks again!

Courtney

Hi Courtney I am back in Toronto about once a month for Freedom consultations so we can book once your free if this is a right fit for you.  The Freedom Wig lasts between 2-5 years and my clients tend to order a second wig before their first requires a repair.  Once you have two hairpieces in rotation the hairpieces last longer.  When you do reorder your "head" is actually kept at Freedom so a reorder is as simple as an email.  I will send you a message for further explanation on how a consultation works, all of your choices to make this look like you, timeframe and pricing.  Enjoy your holiday!!!

Thanks Jennifer. I will wait to hear from you. They sound really great, but of course I need to see if this is within my price range. Glad to hear that all information is kept on file though because being further away it really helps to not have to go in every time i need a new wig.

Thanks again! Looking forward to hearing from you.

"First wig--where to begin?"  read this conversation thread from awhile back. it might be helpful.

Hi! Wondering if anyone might share with me regarding approximate price of Follea gripper wigs- also, can you swim and sleep in them?
Hi bethanne. I was looking into the follea gripper wigs as well. The cost depends on the kind of gripper that you want and the length of hair that you want. I was looking into the follea gripper sport that was 12in long and that was between 4000-4500$. A little out of my price range right now but maybe in the future sometime. I also looked into the freedom wigs...they are about the same price as well but also seem like they would be excellent as well. Hopefully this helps! Best of luck!
Courtney
Also... They advise you not to swim and sleep in the follea wigs. The freedom wigs are designed to swim in. That is what drew my attention to them.
My Follea Gripper sport is actually 10x better at staying on while under water than my Freedom silicone vaccum Wig ( I have had 4 freedom vaccum wigs and 1 Follea Gripper Sport)and I don't think I'll ever get another freedom I much prefer the Follea Gripper SPort...

They also do not advise you to sleep and swim in Freedom wig. They say you can but it will shorten the life of your wig and it will drastically shorten the life of your wig!

In my experience with wearing both brands of wigs , if I where to sleep and swim in both and treat it the same way I can say with the most confidence that my GRIPPER SPORT would last a longer and wear less. I have not tried the Gripprr cool or the lifestyle piece as they are completely different wigs so I can only comment in comparison with the Gripper sport.
I swim in in Follea Gripper sport wig more often than I use to swim on my previous freedom wigs !!! And my grippe sport holds up 10x better than any of the 4 freedom wigs I hAve had. I think the difference is that freedom wigs will advertise you "can " swim on a freedom wig but the say in small print "but doing so will shorten the life of your wig" and it really does believe me .

And Follea don't advise you to so some thing that is harmful to your wig ... Even though you "could " and I do , do all the time
And I have has my Gripper for a while now and it still looks BRAND NEW . In the time I had had my Gripper comparing it with my freedoms ... I would have huge bald spots in my freedom by now if I hadn't have changed over to Follea Gripper sport
Hello Twig,
I have been using a full lace wig with ghost bond for 3 years now and love it!!! I'm very active and needed something glued on since I'm a figure skater. When I first got it the color shocked some people but I told everyone I just colored my hair. I didn't tell anyone but my mom and husband that it's wig. It looks so good everyone thinks it's mine. :) The vacuum wigs are good to but figure skating the pressure of spinning on my head it didn't work. As for the lace color I would just go for transparent even if your tan. The transparent works with all skin color. Is better to go lighter the darker. I order my from xcsunnyhair.com. Good quality and the price is right! I have 3 of the same wig I rotate out. One wig last about 3 months or so which doesn't seem long. But if you think about it vacuum wigs cost more still for the time they last and it's cheaper the hair clubs. I've tried everything lace is my fav!!! I will post so pictures. :)
It didn't let me add pictures. I will put one as my profile picture If you want to see more of my moving in it or with it down let me know :)

Do not order from Ewigs.  I ordered online for the first time and it is nothing like the picture that represented it.  It is also frizzy on the ends.  I am very unhappy. When I emailed the company, they had me send pictures to show it and then told me it was not damaged and said I could not return it.  Talk about being very upset - I do not have that kind of extra $$.

Good lluck
