Hi, I keep reading about wigs with the cuticles still attached. How is this kind of hair obtained? Wouldnt it involve ripping the hair straight from the head instead of jut getting a ponytail cut and selling it? I am considering getting a wig with the cuticles for better quality, but need to know if this type is ethical. Thanks.

You have "cuticle" mixed up with "follicle."  The hair cuticle is the outermost layer of the hair shaft.  The follicle is the structure from which a hair emerges from the body.  So, no, hair is not being ripped out of people's scalps in order to make wigs.  Cuticle hair comes in ponytails -- cut and waste hair.
