Portia,

I am using it now, and yes, it has been effective so far, along with steroid injections. It burns the first few times you put it on..it may even take a little skin off, but after your body gets used to it, it's fine. I am supposed to put it on twice a day, but I only get to it really once a day. Hope that helps :-)

It did burn a little in the beggining in a spot on my head. Now I am wondering how long I am supposed to use this cream. I went to webmd and learned you are supposed to apply it for 2 weeks. Or, is this permanent?

Well, mine is a gel...it either comes in a gel or cream, but it doesnt make a difference. My derm didn't say how long, just to use it twice a day. I go see her on the 27th again, so maybe she will tell me something new then

I understand. Do you receive injections in combination witht he topical? And, how long hae you had to deal with your hair loss? On problem with me is since I normally use hair oil for my hair, I Can't. So, I don't know how to handle that since I am a black female and need ot use oil to keep my scalp from drying out and keep my hiar growing strong. Does anyone have any ideas?
