Hi Ella,
Welcome! There are loads of great people here. The most important thing is the sense of community and support. You are not in this alone.

peace,
Joyce

Hi Ella,
Its great to see you out here... I'm Donna and I've had alopecia for over 2 years. It all fell out, grew it back with steroid shots, and then it fell out again and I recently decided to stop the steroid shots. I'm currently a spotty /fuzzy kinda girl. I'll wear a wig when its cold, but otherwise like scarves.
This place is full of support and friendly people, and a great forum to "get it all out" as well.

Welcome!
Donna

Let's start up the upcoming year of CAP meetings with lunch at our
favorite spot, Vinny T's located on Boylston Street (across from the
Prudential Center). The Bald Girls Do Lunch will be hosting a lunch at
the same time and has invited the "Little Girls" to attend their Alopecia
Style workshop at 2pm while joining them for dessert. Thea Chassin
founder of BGDL will be providing make-up demonstrations and ideas for
head coverings with scarfs and hats for the young ladies. Thea Chassin
has asked that you bring scarves, wigs or just anything you want to use to
cover your head. She will be on hand to show your daughter some
suggestions for wearing their fashion. In addition, Thea will have BGDL
brow powder and sealer available for purchase. And Debbie Fuller will do
wig education and talk about how wigs are made and offer suggestions. We
also have the pleasure of having our CAP founders Betsy and Jeff Woytovich
and family join us. Please come if you have thought about attending a CAP
event, but haven't yet and would like to learn more about the Children's
Alopeica Project. We have many exciting things planned in the coming
months and would love member input. All CAP families are welcome to attend
the lunch.

Note: If you can't attend both please let me know which event you'd like
to attend. Reservation Required. Thanks!!!

Parking/T Info It is suggested to park in the Prudential Center and make a
small $5 purchase to validate your parking ticket. It will be a savings
overall on parking. If traveling by the T, take the Green Line to the
Copley Stop.

If anyone knows a parent of a child with AA please let them know about my CAP group here in Mass. My contact info is on their website. www.childrensalopeicaproject.org. Also, if anyone has a good derm that you think would like info on this group for their young patients please contact me with their info. We would like to see our group grow and let kids know there is a support group just for them! Thanks everyone! Cindy

I regretfully missed this NBO celebration with all of you!!!

I did participate in my own way on Saturday by going bald at my gym for the 1st time and also while out and about... Quite freeing and a bit unsettling at first!
I am somewhat new at figuring out this website works and wasn't aware there was a group of alopecians to join here in MA. Glad I found you !!

I would like to head out from the navy yard 1st thing so we can make a couple of stops and get to Quincy Market for lunch. I have already got maps from the info center so I would expect to be crossing the bridge by 11:30 or sooner. If you like, you can email me a phone number and I will call you. My email is joyce@joycestock.com.
