Hi Stephaine,

 

Did you fina any groups in the area?  I live in Hampton and was just diagnosed with Alopecia areata a little over 2 months ago and I am not handling it very well.  It is just getting worse everyday, seems like it is taking over my whole life.  Looking for some type of support or just someone who might understand how i feel. Just wondering if you found out anything.

I haven't heard from anyone else.  I know that there was a group that was starting up in Hampton awhile ago.  I think it was called Bold Beautiful Bald Women.  I wasn't ready for something like that at the time so I didn't keep up with it.  

I was diagnosed five years ago, but it has been in the last year that I have lost all my hair.  I do understand what you are going through.  I felt like it was all I was dealing with for a while. Happy to talk any time!

Hi Stephaine, thanks for reaching out. This is all happen so fast, I have always loved my hair and to see if falling out like this kills me.

Hi Stephanie,
I live in Yorktown. Anytime you want to send me a message, maybe I can help. My history = 12 years with AA progressing to AU just this past year. Curiously, I am more at peace now that the falling out phase is over. That was torture! Wigs and makeup techniques make me happy:)
