I was wondering if anyone else has ordered items from Headcovers and had issues with them shipping to Canada. I've always ordered through them and this time they want to send it through Fed Ex (who will never find me as I am in Rural Alberta) and charge a fortune for shipping. They've always sent my orders through the mail and suddenly this seems to have changed. Is there a place in Canada like Headcovers where you can order eyebrows and cute hats?

Hi Tara, I have ordered from Headcovers 2 separate times and they always delivered promptly. The first order I did pay a fortune for their faster delivery. The next time I tried the cheapest delivery and it did take the amount of time they stated but still prompt enough. I live in a busier residential neighbourhood outside of Toronto so that probably helped. Rural places I have no idea about. I can tell you some things I ordered were great and some were so-so. Their prices are reasonable and I have yet to find something equivalent here in Canada, but I am sure there is something out there. I keep meaning to look in Toronto, but it seems daunting to search. I would like to try on things first. Have you tried contacting headcovers and explaining the situation? I find they are eager to please so perhaps they would continue to mail your order?

Thanks for replying. I'm surprised by this too as they've always been really good. It was a $130 order and they want almost $60 in shipping. I asked them to send it through the mail, but they wouldn't because of how much my order was, but my orders have always been around that much. I asked them what has happened in the last year to cause these changes, but I haven't received an answer. It's always been so easy in the past that is why I was surprised. I'm excited to try their real hair eyebrows.

I wish I could give a Canadian equivalent. I will search and reply again if I find a source of cute hats. I used to order cotton scarves by Anhoki from headcovers.com. I was frustrated because the shipping to Ontario was so darn high and yet the cotton scarves are so light - not much more cost to ship than a letter! It's a cash grab for the US vendor, as far as I'm concerned.

I now buy the same scarves from http://www.anokhiusa.com . The shipping is still high but I find the service more straightforward (I had some rude service encounters with headcovers). And the anokhi website offers more selection.

I buy hats from a local millinery shop that sells http://www.lizzybydesign.com/index.html hats. I'm wondering if you contacted them directly if they could tell you where you could find their hats.

My own experience is that it is better for me to figure out what product I want and then look for it directly, hopefully finding a Canadian source or a non-Canadian source that charges legitimate shipping rates. When I was first AU, I would look for scarves, headcovers "FOR ALOPECIA" on GOOGle. I find it cheaper if I just look for scarves or hats. Period. I buy some rectangle scarves from an Israel seller who caters to Orthodox Jewish women and her shipping from Israel is cheap and the scsarves have arrived in a week at times!

Hi, I don't know if this helps but I order my eyebrows through www.ibrowsers.ca and they ship canada post from Totronto! I also find it is one of the cheapest options online for my eyebrows. I buy my "hats" from sports experts, I use the "buff" head covers for sleeping and at the beach, as they have UV protection too

Hi Tara,
I had a similar issue with them earlier this year. I was able to get them to ship to my address via regular postage and paid almost half of what they originally quoted me. It took a phone call though. I do love their products, only wish there was something similiar in Canada.
I'll be ordering again in a few months, I'll let you know how I make out with the postage costs...
Take Care - Sandra
