Does anyone have any comments about RL Moda in Montreal. Do they have their wigs made in China? The web site says they offer every choice-Russian hair, Indian hair etc.

Also wondering about prices -no info about prices on web site
I don't want a long wig-I am past the age of wearing long hair so would like to pay less for a shorter wig.

Hello Cathy,

I do not know of the shop you mention, if you have a standard size head it is easier to get pre-made wigs. I go through Debbie Fuller (fuller hair) for a custom made wig (suctions to head) because my head size is smaller than normal and pre-mades do not fit without a lot of tap, etc that my skin reacts to. It costs a one or two thousand I think-I get a 12 inch one for over ~$3500 I think. With a doctor prescription I rec'd part of it back through a government prescription coverage plan, and than I use the balance as medical expense on my taxes for that year. I live in Ottawa. I prefer real hair because it last longer and looks natural in the rain and when swimming. The prices of pre-made real hair wigs were usually around 600-1000, depending. Real hair is going up in price due to supply dropping and demand going up.
Hello Cathy,

I am from montreal and I can tell you that I purchased an RL Moda wig and I have it now for almost 3 years. I think it was called russian, it costed less then 2000$ and I will never change brands.

I purchased from another store in the past (I will not mention names, and I paid over 2000$ for it to last less then a year, supposively european quality hair.

I had alopecia for 20 years and this was a god sent for me.

Hi Cathy,
There is now a Canadian Rep for Freedom Hair which is the representative for Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and the atlantic provinces....me! If there are any questions feel free to contact me on here.

well,80% wigs from China.I mean all the stores and salons!
Some are use Chinese wigs and use their brand!

I am so late on this post, but hopefully someone will see it :)
I purchased 3 wigs from there. 2 custom made. It took SO long for me to get it. It is ridiulous. The first one, I was told 6 weeks, it took about 4 months, and the next one I ordered in JULY, it came in early NOVEMBER and it was the wrong thing completely (wrong texture and color) and now it is the end of FEBRUARY and I still have no word on when I will be getting the proper wig. I have paid for it in full (about $2000), I gave them the benefit of the doubt since it's over the holidays but they haven't returned my phone calls either. So YES, I like my custom european hair wig a lot, but you really have to have patience and expect less than great service!!!
