Hi Tanya,
I'm located in Winnipeg. Would love to get a support group up and running out this way. We have a few interested members but need more.
Terri I saw your story on Canaaf! Awesome!
I hope to publish a story on Canaaf after I run my leg of Rick Hansen's run coming up Jan. 26th!
All the best fellow Canucks!
thanks, will do!
The Vancouver Support group is open. There is a group on Alopecia World Jennifer. I just joined about a month ago. Have yet to be at a meeting but looking forward to February 2nd. Look the group up on here or message Tanya.
Tanya, interested in the Vancouver support group - is it open or are you just a select few? Understand if you are not accepting new members....
hey everyone that has checked out CANAAF....my story was added to their site. I was pretty excited when I first saw it. It is a edited version of the full story that you can see in my blogs
Oh cool to learn about the CANAAF.com! Thanks Jennifer! Btw, where about in Canada are you?
Like Sandra in Calgary, we've started a support group in Vancouver. We grew to 14 members in 6 months, and hope to reach more and support one another. Next meetup is Feb 2nd 2012. We always have a good time! Let me know if you are in Vancouver and would like to come :)
Hi, thought I'd say "Hello" from Calgary. If you are looking to connect with others who have Alopecia from the Calgary area, let me know... at one time we had a formal Support Group, it has since dissolved, but we are looking at getting together for an informal gathering. Thanks.
Just met with the CANAAF team. This is a federation that is gaining momentum in Canada for the support of alopecia. Please visit their website and subscribe to their newsletter. They are working hard to increase awareness of alopecia and create support groups throughout the country. Their website is www.canaaf.com.
Dr Donnovan is my specialist and I love him...he actually listens to what you have to say.....very down to earth....and helpful...great interview!!!
TNX FOR SHARING Jennifer....Was a great episode We've come a long way from the days when the dermatologist said" your losing your hair , must be your nerves or a shock" .
