Hi Marian

I have 2 wigs from Marios Salon in Polo Park, that is also where my stepdaughter used to buy her wigs. Ive just heard about Giselles on this forum but have not gotten there yet. I also have lots of cheaper wigs from China. They are fun but dont last, which is ok since they cost less than 20.00 each! I only wear wigs in the winter and then just for the warmth factor. Way to cold around here!!

Hi,

I've been reading through all the comments as I'm new to this site and I see that several people wear Raquel Welch wigs -- I've also been wearing them for the past 5 years. I've been ordering mine through Wigs.com which is an American site but I get very frustrated with the UPS delivery -- they only deliver during the day while I'm at work. Does anyone know of a Canadian site that carries Raquel Welch wigs and offers delivery by Canada Post? Alternatively, I'd love to hear from the Manitobans on this site to know if they've ever gotten a wig from Giselle's or any other salon.

Hi Christine,

I also live in Winnipeg and I have Alopecia Universalis -- I've had it for the past 5 years and I'm currently 48. I had been doing some research last night and came across some You Tube videos of Dr Gonen and sent him an e-mail. I wanted to do some further research today, mostly because I've grown skeptical over the years but I was impressed (and I'm not easy to impress anymore) with Dr Gonen and the videos rang true for me. I googled "Dr Gonen Alopecia" and that is how I stumbled across your page -- I was struck by the irony that it was a fellow Winnipegger who was trialling Dr Gonen's treatment. I have not heard anything back from Dr Gonen yet but I will keep you posted and I'm definitely rooting for Kyler! I didn't know this forum existed but I plan to be a regular contributer; the support of others is key to coping and thriving with this disease.
