I am so excited to share the newly created cover for my upcoming podcast. I will be interviewing both experts and women who have struggled with hair loss and found a way to regain their self confidence and reclaim their joy. The mission of this podcast is to extend our reach to as many women as possible who would benefit from acceptance, understanding and knowledge about thriving as bald women.
Please share this on your facebook pages. Together we can open a pathway for our sisters to follow that will make living with alopecia - or any other form of hair loss - easier for those who follow us.
I am currently scheduling interviews and look forward to hearing from women with stories and tips about how to go from the shadows of shame, embarrassment and fear to that place of confidence and joy. If you have a story to tell about living as a Boldly Bald Woman or the steps you went through to get to that place, please email me at psfitros@att.com with "Podcast Interview" in the subject line.
We are an amazing group of women. I am so grateful to alopecia universalis for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful world-wide community!

Thank you ossy201 - And I'm so happy you don't let your hair or lack of hair define you. We are all sooooo much more valuable than the hair on our heads.
I had fun this morning after catching a segment on the Today Show about the different impacts made by curly and straight hair. They invited tweets sending in pictures, so I sent my in. It will be fun to see what kind of responses come back. Check this out and see if you want to tweet a response as well!

I've spoke with a few members in this group, but just wanted to let the rest of you know about a book I'm working on. It's really starting to take shape, and I'm looking for additional stories from men, women and children in all stages of hairloss.
This group sounds like one that has reached a level of acceptance that helps us grow, and I'd love to talk with you and hear about your story.
I've been featuring people who have made a difference with their experience by making choices to do something better, or to living up to their true potential. If you'd like to be part of this project, feel free to check out my website for "Head-On, Stories of Alopecia". It can be seen at www.baldgirlsrock.com. You can also see it on facebook under the "Head-On..." title. I would love it if you could "like" and "share" it so it will continue to encourage more people to share their stories. The alopecia community has always been so supportive of one another, and my hope is that word of this project will spread like wildfire. I look forward to hearing your story.
I shaved my head today for the first time in about 3 months & it felt great to get rid of all that hair (my hair grows all over my head except for the top). I don't enjoy the shaving process (hair clippings everywhere), but once its done, I enjoy the results. So I swore to myself for the umpteenth time that I will start shaving my head on a regular basis. I think it would be easier to deal with, too (less hair to cut & less mess).
Bald is beautiful God only made so many perfect heads!!!
I feel definately that hair is overrated :)After losing mine at 16 i have gotten over it (im 34 now)
Hi everyone,
I've been away for some time and I just wanted to let my friends in the group know I'm back.
God bless,
Larry
Love this group :D
