Welcome Ted!

Hey folks, I'm Ted down here in Panama City, Florida. I'm relatively new to the site, but certainly not new to alopecia. In fact, I've had it all my life. Who else has had alopecia basically since they were a kid, and I mean primarily alopecia totalis and alopecia universalis? I wore a wig as a kid, because it was all I knew. My parents had started me in them when I was very young. Now that I'm out of school, retired from the Air Force, and have a family, I have accepted my alopecia. In fact, I would say that I have embraced it as part of who I am. I don't think I would elect to go through treatments even if they became available. My kids certainly wouldn't recognize me, and I wouldn't relish the idea of having to shave everyday, etc.

So, again I ask, who else has had AT or AU as a kid. AA guys are welcome to comment too ;)

Ted
