Hi everyone. I am the mother of a lovely 13 year old daughter that suffers from AA. Right now she is experiencing a tremendous amount of hair loss. She probably has about 30% left on her head.

HEY I AM SO GLAD THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE IN TEXAS WITH THIS. MY SON IS 6 AND HE HAS ALOPECIA HE WAS BALD FOR 3 YEARS BUT HE HAS A BIG PATCH OF HAIR ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD NOW. I THINK THAT AN ALLERGIC REACTION MADE IT POSSIBLE!!!! HEY WE LIVE IN THE DALLAS AREA AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE GET TOGETHERS AND GET TO KNOW OTHERS THAT SHARE THIS WITH MY CHILD. NICE TO KNOW THERE CAN BE SUPPORT CLOSE TO HOME.

hey everyone. im in alvarado, just south of ft.worth and it seems that most of the texans are in houston. i was born and raised there so i go back quite a bit. it is really nice to see everyone with the same thing. it helps with the isolation.

Hey! I live in Garland (Suburb of Dallas) and College Station! I am a student at A&M and I go home for summers and winters to work! I have been completely bald for approximately 3 years or so and was diagnosed about 7 years ago when I was in middle school. People in Dallas are a lot ruder than they are in College Station! Probably a big reason why I love being at school so much!

Hey there, I am from south Texas and I am a Hispanic girl with AA...i am glad to have seen this page because i would love to meet with people that have this same condition...my hometown is Eagle Pass, Texas right on the border of the U.S. and Mexico...i am a 4th grade teacher, have two wonderful boys (ages 6 and 20 months) and happily married for 11 years :).... i have had AA for about 6 years and now i have gone bald with 2-3 patches of hair :) (even though i saw a few bald spots since i was ten, my hair would grow back without treatment)....Now i have been bald for about 4 months and it's a tremendous adjustment....

Hello Texans with Alopecia. In February I moved from Austin to Houston. This is such a great site and a wonderful idea to site a group for Texans!
