Hello my fellow traction alopecia sufferers, i inherited my traction alopecia from my mom's side of the family and my solution is full lace wigs. it helped to build my self esteem and i have moved on the selling them, attaching them and maintaining them. i am here to help anyone who wants to have hair and feel confident that it will stay attached until you are ready to remove it. Here to have fun and see how others feel about their hair loss.

Hi Mary
Happy for you that you found the solution to your hair loss problem.
A bit puzzled because I was almost sure that Traction alopecia could not be inherited but was the result of traction, pulling hair into a style that put pressure on the hair folicles?

Anyways good luck with what your doing, so happy you found a solution that was right for you
Regards
Linda
yes linda you are right traction alopecia is not inherited! It comes from constant pulling of the hair like tight braiding and sew in weaves and wearing tight rubber bands. Female pattern baldness is inherited
