Can anyone help me with application for a full lace wig.

Do you guys use glue or tape, or both? And what brands do you use. This is my first wig and i'm finding it challenging. It's fine to wear my hair out but when it's up the lace around my neck lifts. I just want it to look normal!

Hi Poppy!

Recently, I started using "got2b glued" spiking hair glue to attach my lace piece! It sounds crazy, but it's the best for daily wear I've found. You can buy it at Walmart for something like $5. I find it to be the best because you can use it liberally - add a bit of water and rub all over your scalp - and get a secure attachment. (I went on a trampoline no probs!) And when you want to take it off, just wet your piece starting from the edges. It's water soluble. (So, the downside is you can't sweat too much).

I use Supertape when I want waterproof super secure attachment. I've also used glue. These professional adhering methods are great but they are meant to last for days to weeks, and the clean up could be challenging. I prefer to take mine off daily.

I used to frequent the hair attachment forum at toplace.com. They have hair-piece pros there (mostly men with aga) who can answer all sorts of glue / tape questions. Body chemistry differ from person to person though, so try a couple different brands.

Good luck!

I second the use of Got2BGlued for daily adhesion of a full lace wig. I do it all the time, and it works great...and it rinses out of the lace easily! I use it to hold on my synthetics as well, and have found that it works even in a mildly sweaty situation. I wouldn't trust it to hold on a lace wig during a Zumba class, though.

I use Ghost Bond from Hair Direct. And I have found it to be effective
