Freedom Wig Timeline

Hi everyone!

As I am sure all of you know, getting a freedom wig is a lonnnnng process. I first had my head scan in April and I still haven't received my wig! 

I approved my hair sample and paid in full on September 12th. My rep told me they said they hoped to ship it in October. I contacted her to see what the status on the piece was (since October is almost over) and she said the tracking is saying it will ship on or before November 23rd! I was super sad about this because I am soooo ready for the piece to come in and I was hoping to have it in time for Thanksgiving. 

I know there is no way of knowing but for you all what was the shipping like? How long after you approved your hair sample did your wig actually arrive? I am hoping that it is before the end of November!

Mine took ages, about 6-7 months counting the xmas break when they stop production for a month. I was expecting it in February and it came in April. It's always longer than what you think.

Hi there!

My process took about 5 1/2 - 6 months. Hnag in there, you might still get it before Thanksgiving (you never know!). 

I know the timing of your piece depends on how many freedom wearers are ahead of you. Also depends on the hair color and length you're looking for. My hair sample was just a dark brown which is a bit easier to find but if you're ordering a blonde or reddish color it usually tends to take longer because it's less common to have on hand.

Thanks for the response! I already approved my hair, I was more wondering how long it took after you actually got the hair sample to shipment. I just hate how the ETA keeps changing!

That's what I meant! Sorry should clarify, once you choose the hair sample they need to start finding the hair. Depending on which hair sample you choose they may or may not have it available to them. For example, if you choose a certain mix of blonde hair, they may not have any "in stock" and might have to wait for someone to donate or something like that! But I know it stinks that the ETA changes :/ but if they told you around Nov 23 then definitely expect to get it latest by the end of that month (hopefully sooner!). Mine came a little sooner than the date I was told, I think like a week before.

Sorry--I am an idiot haha. I chose the hair sample in April. Freedom found hair for me and sent me some to approve for use in September. I approved the hair and they are starting production on it. Sooo my question would actually be how long after you approve the hair that they send you in the mail LOL. Does that make sense?
