This is coming too late because I just joined, but Wen is far from gentle - it is full of alcohols that strip the hair (not to mention the 2nd and 3rd time I used it on my daughter before realizing it was the cause - it striped the hair right off her head immediately!  She never had hair loss before Wen.

I realized my comments could be ambiguous.  The first time we used Wen, her hair fell out slowly over a few days.    She lost about 1/3 of her hair, but I didn't connect it to the product because it was purported to be extra gentle.  (someone might ask, if it caused hair loss, why would you continue to use it?) I continued to use it thinking it was the best product for her situation, not dreaming it was the cause of the situation.  I used it only a few times, and she lost everything.  Hair loss on her head continued for a week after stopping, and loss of brows and lashes followed.  Just devastating.  She recovered a lot, and some of that is falling out again :-(
