Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia

Hello, recently joined this group which appears to have all types of Alopecia. I wondered if anyone has been helped with this affliction. I had been diagnosed at Sunnybrook in the fall of 2012 and have only tried the Clobetasol but the shedding continues and I seriously don't want to do the injections as I don't have much faith in them and worry of the consequences too.
Has anyone tried the Paleo diet with any success at all?

Hey Rita! Hope you are well. There is a great private Facebook site called LPP Let's PutOut the Fire. You can search them and request membership. There are tons of people of there with LPP or scarring Alopecia including FFA and there are many on the paleo diet.

Hey Rita! I believe that no treatment is a one size fits all. The trick here is to be open minded to try different things and see what results you may receive. I briefly tried the injections- which didn't work out for me. I also tried something called acetone therapy which was highly recommended by dermatologist, which is a liquid that you are prescribed and you apply yourself to your skin, honestly I saw results but because it was quite a few years ago (when I was much younger) I couldn't keep up with the constant care- but I intend to try it again.
