    Welcome

Welcome! My 2 year old daughter has been diagnosed with aa, as well, but it's been known to us for a while, so I think I'm finally past the initial shock and am looking into equpping her as best I can to be 'someone different who makes a difference'. A friend reminded me that although she'll undoubtedly garner attention because this is glaringly obvious, she'll be able to use that ability to do great things. That's a really cool option to have in life.

You picture of your little darling is adorable. I hope you post more!

thanks for the add. I started losing hair when i was very young, just like your daughter. the first time i ever lost hair due to alpecia was when i was an infant. It happened several times while i was a young child. i wish you the best of luck with your daughter.

hi jessica...Sorry I dont know of any support groups in nyc..the nearest one i WAS REFERRED TO WAS CAP.the Chilodrens alopecia project in pennsylvania. How r u doing? It was very hard on my mentally and emotionally when my daughter was diagnosed...Stay strong, please don't let your daughter see u upset..THey understand alot more than they lead us to believe...email me if you feel like venting..when this was happening to my daughter I couldn't explain it or talk about it to anyone without breaking down. Stay strong for yourself and your daughter.
