About Me:
I have had alopecia totalis for about 3 years. It has really affected my self esteem and confidence. When i first got alopecia I started to change for the worse. Everybody started to pity me and my friends turned their backs on me. I have now accepted the fact that this is something that I dont have any control over. I pray every night that God will restore my beautiful hair back to me one day.i have spent so much money trying to find something that will grow my hair back. I have succeeded many times only to get disappointed when it falls out again. I havent told my boyfriend about my condition because im afraid that he will leave me.

    WELL I BEEN WITH ALOPECIA FOR 2 YEARS NOW AND THEY BEEN THE
    WORST YEARS OF MY LIFE.
    WHEN THIS HAPPEN TO ME I WAS ALREADY MARRIED IT HAPPEN FOR NO REASON ON MORNING I NOTICE PATCH ON THE BACK OF MY HEAD LATER ANOTHER ONE IN FRONT WHERE I COULD NOT HIDE IT SO I HAD MY
    MOTHER SHAVE MY HEAD IT WAS HARD SEEN MY SELF JUST WITH A FEW HAIR HERE AND THERE THE FIRST YEAR WAS THE WORST I GUESS
    I WENT TO MANY DOCTORS THEY SAID IT WAS STRESS THEN TYROID I TRY MANY TREATMENTS BUT NO LUCK SO FAR MY HUSBAND BEEN BY ME THRU THIS BUT IN THE BEGINING I DID SENT HIM AWAY I DID NOT WANT HIM TO BE WITH ME BECAUSE HE FELL SORRY FOR ME I WAS SO ANGRY ALL I WANT TO DO IS DYE AT THE TIME I ASK MY SELF WHY ME
    HE SAID HE LOVE ME NOT MY HAIR HIM AND MY MOTHER HAS BEEN WITH ME THRU THIS . BEEN THIS WAY IT DOES KEEP ME FROM DOING MANY THINGS I ENJOY DOING BEFORE I WERE A WIG NOW I WORK AND I JUST TRY TO LIVE A (NORMAL LIFE) I AM SAVING FOR A VACUUM WIG
    THERE IS A GIRL IN ALOPECIA WORLD I CANT REMEMBER HER NAME BUT SHE HAS PICTURES AND YOU COULD NOT TELL IT NOT HER HAIR BEST WISHES TO YOU. WHAT EVER YOU'RE HEARD TELLS YOU IF HE LEAVES THAN MAYBE HE DID'NT LOVE YOU IS BETTER TO KNOW NOW THAN LATER .
    THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO I DID NOT WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN BUT IT DID PEOPLE ARE SO JUDGE FULL IS SOMETHING WE CANT CONTROL AND THERE IS NO CURE SOME PEOPLE DO GET THERE HAIR BACK I BEEN TRYING BUT NO LUCK I HAVE TRY CORTISONE SHOOTS
    PILLS, VITAMINS,ROGAIN,SHAMPOOS,AROMA THERAPHY NOTHING
    ANYWAY I WISH YOU THE BEST YOU HAVE A FRIEND HERE WHEN EVER YOU NEED TO TALK BECAUSE WE KNOW WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE THIS WAY.

    I know how hard it can be. I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!"
