    Hey Tiffany, thanks for the post on my blog. I'm African American too, AA, and I have Alopecia Areata, AA, LOL, it's all relevant. Anyway, I've had AA for over the past 40 years and sometimes it was a challenge, but for the most part, I'm fine. I've had weaves, wigs and hairpieces, but since I've shaved my head, bald is best! If you decide on a weave, beware of glued in weaves, the chemicals in the glue tend to wreak havoc on our scalps and hair. Sometimes the hair thins and weakens, sometimes it just falls out. Sew ins are great, when done by the right technician, they last longer and don't pull your hair out...as much. Check out Trina's page, she does her own hair and may have a few tips for you.     Hi Tiffany! Thanks for adding me. ;o) So do you have alopecia? I was diagnosed with alopecia areata on May 2nd of this year. In about a month and a half I had lost almost everything on top and most on the sides. Craziness! I shaved my head a couple weeks ago cuz I couldn't stand watching it fall out anymore.
