Business owner, former frizzy-haired person (that actually took more years to get used to than hairlessness). I don't feel bald defines me and get on with life. I genuinely forget I'm hairless, and feel that most people around me do, too. I certainly had some issues for the first few months while my hair was falling out and I looked like I was dying (and sometimes felt that way). I feel a strong sense of kinship for all of us.
I was diagnosed with AA in November 2007, and by January 2008, it was AU. I like Model 21 eyelashes and sponge-on eyebrow tattoos, basque lamb stew, horses, dogs, and hiking in the hills.
Hi Carmi, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to Alopecia World. I have been living with Alopecia Areata since 1991 and know full well the struggle it can be. I look forward to getting to know you. Cheryl, Co-founder
It was great to see you last night. You have such a positive attitude. I love it.
Are you going to the MTV Thingy today? I think I am. The Red Vic on Haight Street around 5 o'clock.
Darn this rain. Haha

Keep smiling.
