    Hi Mary,
I know how hard it is! I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" It might make you feel better about everything. Check it out on my page -- and WELCOME!

I know, that's one reason I like to wear wigs -- so that people don't thin I'm sick.

Thanks for the nice comments on my wig :) I love it! It is a Rene of Paris, full lace, 14 inch real human hair wig. I have to tape the sides, but it is really easy and very comfortable. I got it from a wonderful lady in Illinois who has a salon for hair loss patients. Let me know if you have any more questions, I hope I can help! Take care and talk to you soon :)

Hi Mary! Yes, I actually had a consultation with a Peggy Knight representative, and they seem fantastic! Peggy and her reps are really friendly and helpful. I actually opted to go with a Freedom vacuum wig because there have a new silicon cap that is slightly lighter than the Peggy Knight caps. Peggy uses Freedom wigs manufacturing, but she just brands it as her own, so they are very similar. I'm sure you will love whatever you chose to go with :) Talk to you soon.

Mary- I'm glad to hear that I was able to help :) It is very hard for the people in our lives to understand what we are going through; I was really depressed for a few months when my hair really started coming out, and my boyfriend wanted to help but just really couldn't understand it. I told him that the best way for me to explain was that it felt like I was truly losing a piece of myself, or a best friend. It was such a grieving process, more than I ever could have imagined. But he stuck by my side and now that I have come to terms with it, I feel a lot happier. I meant to give you the website of the lady who I got my vacuum wig from earlier, but I forgot...Her name is Karen Peterik and she is wonderful! Her website is: www.newlifehair.com. Have you met with the Peggy Knight people yet? They are great, too. Keep smiling Mary and talk to you soon.
