I have had AU for 6 years and was first diagnosed when I was 18 yrs old. It has been tough getting through the grieving process, nursing school + life's everyday challenges. I am happy to have found this site! Thank you to all the inspiring people who are so very brave and full of life!
Hi Chantal,
Another one with great eyes and brows!! Do you mind if i ask where you got them done, or how you do them? The facial hairloss is very new to me, and i need all the hlep i can get with doing my make up and my eyes and brows.
I love your curly hair too! Very funky and very fun!
Hello and welcome, Chantal !
I love your curly locks!
I know how hard it can be. I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" It might make you feel better. You can find out more on my page -- and let me know if there's anything else I can do!

Hello!! It's always exciting to find another Winnipegger on here! It sure is funny how alpecia can get rid of hair you never knew you would miss. I lost my eyelashes a couple of times, that looked wierd! I have to say tho I never even thought of nose hairs lol. I remember for one summer I didn't have to shave my legs , that was the only good thing about alopecia that has ever happened to me :) Anyway I would love to chat more!

Love the wigs. I'm from the Peg too and wondering where you bought them? I've heard about Evelyn's but that's about all. You look absolutely fabulous!!!
