i noticed my hair thinning about 4 months ago. then came the bald spots and huge chunks of hair and i went to the doctor got blood tests and found nothing wrong so she said i had alopecia areata.i went through the biggest emotional rollercoaster of my life lost all my hair now its growing back and im ok with alopecia and ok with me being the way i am but now i am loosing my hair again

    Hi Nikki! I'm just joining this site myself and saw your profile! Wow, I can't imagine dealing with this at the age you are! If it helps, it does get easier as a little more time goes on! Stick tight to the true friends you have, find wigs or whatever makes you the most comfortable and, in the end, I'm sure you'll be stronger and more confident than your peers in many ways!

    Having personally experienced Alopecia... you would be an ideal person to educate and help others with hair loss. Had I not had my own experience with Alopecia I would never have the insight that I have today to truly be able to help others.

    Hi Nikki - that's cool that you're a drummer, too! Do you play a drum set (drum kit), or hand drums? I think bass looks like a lot of fun - good luck with that. Did you see the videos on YouTube of me drumming? If not, search on YT for "dromia stoynoff", and you'll find 7 videos. What I play is very different music.

    I painted these. Painting is one of my favorite mediums to express myself. I've also done some scultping and printmaking. I'm working on some new paintings, and when they're done, i will post them on the site.
